My daughter has been going to André’s Greenhouse for almost a year now, and André has always given us peace of mind whenever our little one is there. He’s kind, thoughtful, and fully attentive to all the children he takes care of. It's been inspiring to see how he plays with all the kids, reads books for them all together on the couch, teaching toddlers how to interact with each other while not intervening too much. I've been actually learning a lot as a young dad. It’s also a pure joy to see my daughter build such a strong emotional connection with André. That bond has helped her enjoy her time there and develop so many communication skills, even though she still speaks only basic English. Overall, I’m incredibly grateful that we found André and that our daughter has been able to thrive in such a warm, friendly, and caring environment. For a 2 or 3-year-old, that’s really all I could ask for!

I am a stay at home mom that frequents the park that Andre takes the kiddos to. I have been there while he has been caregiving for 100+ hours over the years and this man has an unmatched way with kids! He is incredibly calm, present, and attuned. He seamlessly handles conflicts, creatively plays with, reads quality books to and inspires confidence in the children. I would drop my kids off with him in a heartbeat!

Perfect place to take your little one. We toured a few and none of them felt right until we found Andre’s. Our little one needs to be moving, out and about and have access to nature and playing which Andre delivers! They’re at the park everyday, outside in the sunshine of the backyard and plenty of access to toys and projects. I also really have enjoyed the age ranges. It gives our daughter tons of exposure to learn new things from older kids and also how to be kind and gentle around younger ones

We were so happy when we found André’s Greenhouse Childcare on Berkeley Parents Network, and now that our child has spent a good chunk of time there, we would want as many families as possible to experience the joy of this place. At Greenhouse, kids get to hear great books read aloud and get to try on costumes to their heart’s content. There will be climbing and jumping, art, puzzles, shenanigans, park, scooters, dogs, and music. Your child will feel safe to be themselves, and you’ll feel at peace knowing your kid is in good hands. You won’t get a stream of staged picture updates because André is busy being present with the children every minute of the day. Your child will learn how to play well with others (for the most part!), and how to be diplomatic when they are very much not on board -- for example, when someone is placing demands on our 3-year-old that he doesn’t like: ‘Hmm, can we talk about this later?’” André is an exceptionally wise, optimistic, and funny early childhood caregiver. We feel he has helped our child build enough confidence and skills to do well in transitioning to “big kid school.” It’s unfortunate we can’t stay at Greenhouse indefinitely, but our depart
